...my position was that Obama's mother was an american citizen therefore he was an american citizen. There were really very few people who did not believe he was a citizen but they got a lot of media coverage. Some were just HOPING to find a way to get or keep him out of office.

For the sake of the current argument, that's absolutely true.

Which brings us to the following point; do you honestly think that the Right would have taken that same position in 2008 if Obama had indeed been born in Kenya rather than Hawaii? After all, HIS mother was also an American citizen at the time of his birth. Or is there something else at play here, something that respectable people would rather not be spoken of in public?
