The 2nd amendment is in one sentence, with commas. No period before the right of the people to bear arms, because that right is associated to the "regulated militia", otherwise it would be in its own sentence, following a period, and then you could have the current interpretation, which is wrong, and contradicts the regulated militia piece, which makes no sense to even exist and be mentioned. Who cares about regulated militia, if everyone/anyone can have guns?

Eh?

Anyone who thinks there is a different interpretation can state it here, and explain why.

The context is that these people have to be in a regulated militia.

That's the wording of the 2nd amendment. It is not an open statement. It is conditional: regulated militia. No individual right to bear arms.

Why even register guns if it was unconditional? Because it isn't.
