The second amendment only talks about well regulated militia, and nothng else with respect to guns. There is no other passage in the constitution allowing anyone to have guns, and the books you read are crap making up shit with no legal or other basis.

The reason we have a second amendment is the same as the one prohibiting the quartering of soldiers in homes etc etc. People were not totally trusting of the WELL REGLATED MILITIA and wanted folks to be able to resist it if it got out of hand.
