Republicans in Congress have decided to limit visas for Iranians and even US citizens of Iranian decent who wish to visit places like Europe and other non-middle Eastern countries. And they claim that this is needed as a response to the recent San Bernardino attacks. The problem is that that the female shooter was from Pakistan, a Sunni nation, who came here via Saudi Arabia, another Sunni nation and from where the vast majority of the 9/11 terrorists were from. Also El Qaida and ISIS are primarily made up of Sunni followers. However, in the case of Iran, the vast majority of the population are Shia.
So the question is, why are visa restrictions being placed on Iranians and NOT on Pakistan's or Saudi's? Virtually every terrorist incident in the US has been at the hands of Sunni's and yet Congress has decided to concentrate on Shia nations, like Iran. What is the logic in that?

Congress passed a measure that will prevent visa-free travel to the United States for people who have visited Iran or hold Iranian nationality.
