Hi Alea, I enjoyed it greatly. I never believed in the "war on drugs" or proabition. Neither worked here or elsewhere that I'm aware of. The conversation supports my opinion. The costs (all of them) fighting this losing war is stupendous. I do want drug interdiction - insure product is standardized and sell it for a 1/3 of the black market price. Make it syntheticly and sell it for 1/3. Use profits for public education and rehab. What I want is to get rid of the killings, the gangs, the obscene public costs and societal malaise caused via illicit drugs. Eliminate the huge profit incentive, make them compete and they'll have to find something else. But today, there are many more reasons to shore up our boarders so I think it only makes sense to start there. Besides, the current right would never go for any such lefty crap. Pragmatism
