I am well aware that you cannot expect a truthful yes or no answer. But there are other ways to ask questions in order to gather answers. Very hard to remain consistent about a position that isn't your own. Have you ever seen a decent attorney at work? Or police interrogators? Lies can be revealed by clever questioners.
But even though you seem to think so, if you cannot winnow Islamists from fundamentalists Moslems, this isn't supportive of your position.
Trump's position of banning all foreign Moslems from entering the US is not obviously worse than one that is reckless in letting bad actors in to do their business. For many people, the preservation of American lives resulting from terrorism is more important than the sensitivities of non-American immigrants and vacationers.
You've got to find a way to target the bad actors. Current policy doesn't work. It just seems a bit weedy and ineffectual, like Obama's ISIS response. It's doing nothing wrapped in a brightly coloured bow. He really thinks ISIS supporters aren't Moslems? Who does he think he is kidding?
To say all jihadists are Moslems is not the same thing as saying all Moslems are jihadists.
Trump is not talking about US Moslems.
