By avoiding admitting the reality, he harms all Moslems because he fails to distinguish the decent, law-abiding Moslems from the jihadist ones.

Obama and Clinton say that they believe even uttering the term radical Islam or Islamic extremist is offensive to all Muslims. As if the adjective "radical" provides no distinction. Apparently neither ever had to pass a logic course.

And that it provides great recruitment opportunities for the extremists. As if they don't understand what really drives them. Which they apparently don't.

And once the suicide bombers start up here in the US, I sure hope gun control solves that problem.

and the US President is in no position to say otherwise.

Thugs, NOT Moslems, he likes to say.

The authority on this is the Moslem system of scholarship. Here's what the head honcho of the leading Islamic school actually says:

"Al Azhar cannot accuse any [Muslim] of being a kafir [infidel], as long as he believes in Allah and the Last Day—even if he commits every atrocity ... I cannot denounce ISIS as un-Islamic, but I can say that they cause corruption on earth. ISIS believes that those [Muslims] who commit the great sins are kafirs and can be killed. Thus if I denounce them of being un-Islamic, I fall into the same [trap] I am now condemning."

Obama doubtless speaks for Western ears. But it won't persuade Moslems.

He's saying what he thinks we want to hear. It's the nonsense message to US and means nothing to Moslems because he has no authority to make the statement. It is a platitude and nothing more designed to stop people revenging themselves. I get the reason for it. But I can translate it back to the truth.

Thugs AND Moslems. But NOT reformist Moslems.

By avoiding admitting the reality, he harms all Moslems because he fails to distinguish the decent, law-abiding Moslems from the jihadist ones.

The problem is one of identification. Jihadists lurk among Moslems. Not all Moslems are jihadists. Segregate "reformers" from fundamentalists by defining them as such.

Would anyone complain if Trump said "No jihadist travel to the USA?"

That's what he actually wants, even if he didn't express it well. He just hasn't worked out how to say we have a problem of definition.
