So Iran is 90-95% Shia. Syria is 75% Sunni.Iran is supportive of Assaid's Syria. Iraq's President, Maliki fired his inherited army and replaced it with a U.S. trained one, predominately Sunni. The ISIL forces of 30,000 are Shia (mostly from the deposed Iraqi army) and caused the far superior (in numbers) new Iraqi army to drop their arms and hightail it. The Syria civil war between Assaid's army and rebels cause Syrian refugees (mostly Sunni?) to highjack it to Jorden and Europe. ISIL takes over much of Northeast Iraq, and primarily funds their caliphate from confiscated oil wells at $1M/day.
Is that somewhat close? What's w/ the Sunnis? Are they whoosies or pacifists? It's an eff'n mess. Time to see if there is/are any true leader(s) in the west/eurasia to cobble together an overwhelming force to take control of that territory/oil, fortify it and retain it for a long time. Enough time to figure out how to change the minds of millions.
