Hi Dig, thx for the article. Clearly I was wrong that the caliphate was more about minds not territory. They are required to expand their territory thus it would seem either containment or defeat at Dabiq would succeed in ending this caliphate. If so, the world has it's goal: contain first and then take control of Dabiq. It seems so odd to me that any religion that espouses a return to the medieval would be attractive to so many via 21st century social media. It's paradoxical. Me,I gotta have my electricity,indoor plumbing and hvac.

If one reads the whole thing below and accepts it as "true" then containment is the only option, not invasion.

I'm not really following it but wasn't the Paris attacks carried out by Europeans, not Syrians, Iraqi's, and so on.

Does invading 'Dabiq' make more or less of these Europeans? More or less recruitment? More or less legitimacy for ISIS?
