I think killing that guy and his accomplishes has greatly reduced the possibility of anything else big happening again.

...it is likely that he has already been replaced and that the new guy is planning something else.

I think killing of that guy and his accomplishes has greatly reduced the possibility of anything else big happening again. They were all connected to him and directed by him. In addition, the information gathered from all this will be very valuable.
