I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of that "caliphate".
While repuglicans enumerate stupid stuff in debates about putting american boots on the ground in order to kill terrorists on pick up trucks in some far away desert, President Obama is continuing to place the right people and elements to accomplish what the whole world wants, not just the US. And, now, the Russians, with their involvement there are getting ready to see ISIS as the terrorist threat it is, and I can't wait for the response. And they just bombed Beirut too.
The tactical steps for the retaking of Mosul have begun. It will take a while, but just like Al Queda, they will be reduced to a group without territory and practicing terrorist acts directly or through their affiliates, and nothing more. So long as we stay vigilant, and do the right things on a constant basis, we have nothing to fear from those mofos.
When Obama lives office, ISIS will be a greatly reduced outfit, and not one american soldier will have been lost to them, nor trillions of dollars spent for it.
