The president of the University of Missouri system is resigning amid a wave of student protests over racial tensions

Timothy M. Wolfe, the president of the University of Missouri system, announced on Monday morning that he was resigning amid a wave of student protests and outcry.
Mr. Wolfe announced his resignation as the university’s governing board met in Columbia, Mo., the centerpiece of the four-campus system.
