the way folks vote is quite the mystery. i often feel sorry for voters trying to select a candidate from the slate that is made available to them. but by any standards, the polling indicates a worrying failure of us democracy.

i can't see how the us remains a leading country with gop domination of us government. the quality just ain't there. 20 years ago, the gop wasn't anti-science. once a modern society loses that mooring, it is toast. back to superstition and the reign of ignorance.

I don't know either but I'm picking up vibes. The pion liberal press is questioning Him? The're nitpicking about nazis and guns, taking a hammer to mom, pyrimids built for Joseph's grain, etc. I hope he wins; I hope Trump and he close out viable candidates. The Pres, both houses and SCOTUS all in GOP hands scares the heck out of me. Not for me; for the unfortunante, the middle class and the American culture. Bernie Sanders recently said (which I have for years) he doesn't understand why so many of the working class " votes against their own self interest." CF, you may recall, my Dad as long sucessful local pol oft reminded me: "never over estimate the intelligence of the voters."
