But, here is the reason:
"The lawsuit claimed the company didn't provide them with a reasonable accommodation and by terminating them because of their religion."
Legally, that is valid. It is not the same as the baker example, of a bakery open to the public. These jerks were EMPLOYEES bound by an employment agreement and workforce laws and regulations, not like a business open to the public, abiding by the constitution and laws regarding DISCRIMINATION.
Now, I think we are becoming stupid in this country with all this religious exemptions bullshit. You want a job, you do it. Go somewhere else if you don't want to do parts of your job. Same with that clerk and the marriage licenses. Get lost. You have a bakery open to the public, YOU BAKE! End of story. No one asked you to go to the party and preside over the ceremony. Pretty soon, flour companies will only sell baking flour to those who aren't ...gay. The label on the package will say "For Straights Only". F YOU! The Koran only prohibits the consumption of alcohol.
We need to keep religion out of public life/work, or we'll become what many who came here left behind. If you can't do something, go elsewhere. Don't ask for favors. You're a cab driver transporting people from airports, you better take their luggage. No one asked YOU to comment on the liquor they may be carrying. F YOU!
"Reasonable accommodations" could mean lots of things, and some of them are unacceptable to THE REST OF US!
When I see religious people wearing their religion on their sleeves I get nausea.
