I'm out of time. There's a lot of other things I'm out of step with vs. the GOP. And a least as many vs. the Dems.

So, yes, I really am a guy w/o a party, somewhere in a weird middle ground.

I WANT us to spend money (even though we don't "have" it) on infrastructure. I think saying that climate change is the single biggest threat facing the world is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. (After the nukes start going off, who's gonna care whether the best farm areas move 300 miles north?)

Meanwhile, the world's 7 billion people continue to increase at the rate of about 100 million a year.....

Gotta go,
D&O

if I was 0% HRC, saw the media as victimising the GOP, felt that exposing Trump as a clown was a bad thing

I don't think exposing Trump is a bad thing. But he's doing a fine job of it himself. He doesn't need to be asked if he's a clown, nor should he be.

I agree that comparing answers is a good thing. But I would have each candidate in a sound-proof room while the other candidate answers the question

I've actually said that for years, with near seriousness. Lock 'em in, and turn on their mike only when it's their turn to talk!

I think GWB was the worst President in my life time. Until Obama. I detest "nation building". I distinctly remember in a debate him (GWB) saying that he did too. Then what did he do?!!!!!!

blaming the poor for their situation

Many of them ARE responsible for their own situation. Although you've never been willing to share your background (to provide insight to your perspective), several years ago I posted at length about mine. About how I grew up rather poor, amongst poor, and how my father died when we were in high school. He was making a little over $2/hr at the time.

About how I worked at a packing plant all through college. A lousy job. And knew/saw dozens (hundreds?) of folks that would hire on and quit within a week, or a day, or even morning breaktime, because they didn't want to work. Or get fired for not showing up. I watched many folks make bad decisions, and saw the outcomes. (Not that it's rocket science.) I have no patience for those that can work and won't. Or for those that are apologists for them.

I don't believe that "poverty" includes those that have so many government benefits that they have heated/cooled places to live with cable tv and cell phones. Poor? Maybe. Poverty? No way.
