Poll: Half of Republicans Say Benghazi Committee is Political

A majority of Americans believe the House Select Committee on Benghazi’s investigation is political in nature, according to a new poll released Thursday, and half of Republicans agree.
The CNN/ORC poll found that 72 percent of Americans — and 49 percent of Republicans — believe that the investigation is being used to gain a political advantage against Hillary Clinton,
the Democratic Party’s 2016 presidential frontrunner. Just 23 percent said the committee is “mostly conducting an objective investigation.”
