It is curious how the Bush family measures keeping America safe from September 12, 2001. I could have sworn he was president the day before.

The Iraq war had nothing to do with domestic terrorism, far as I know. Thus it couldn't make it better or worse. At least directly.

But he did clear AQ out of Afghanistan and did a good job destroying them as a viable entity... even if he failed to bag Bin.

Wikipedia says the Iraq war resulted in 4488 American soldier deaths and 32,222 wounded. Awful. To that we must also add the monetary cost. The add to the deficit, the interest on that add, the medical costs of caring for the wounded. Cost to the economy, guns or butter again. And all for an offensive war of choice. I don't see how that kept us safe. Not to mention our loss of privacy. Trump has a point.
