The Russians have been over the centuries one of the world powers that ran things. they are NOT going to forget who they are just because the Soviet Union collapsed. The Russians and there history are still there. Therefore, for the US to try and bottle them up, it isn't going to happen.
We need a strategy vis a vis the Russians that accepts and appreciates their past, and their Christian Orthodox history, and not see them as adversaries we need to put down every chance we get. Unless we do that, we'll find them in front of us all the time. In syria, we have to accept that the Syrians, whoever they are and how many are left are the only ones who will decide their fate, ALONG with the Russians since we don't want the solution they are proposing, which I find much more doable than us taking out Assad and leaving the country to fend for itself with all the assholes who'll pop up in the vacuum like in Libya, which we actually fkd up, just like fkd up Iraq, and on and on, in every place we meddled, except for Bosnia and Kosovo, both Clinton's doings, who understood the history of Europe, the Balkans, and did what was needed to prevent chaos that the Middle East cannot even come close to in creating.
That's it. The Russians are a sophisticated and powerful culture that Americans need to take into consideration and not treat them as if they are poor soviet left overs, because they are anything BUT!
