Agreed, but even this situation we created ourselves in rhe 50s when the CIA overthrew their newly elected government and brought back the Shah, something we repeatd and practiced in many other places all the way into the 80s. Those three decades of American imperialsm have produced much of today's world.

The iranians were very western oriented, just like the Lebanse.
