Theposterkownas, taking on public service unions is courageous. They need to be controlled, managed. Dems have historically needed to cow tow to them, thus they got totally out of control, unmanageable: overpaid, over benefited and underproductive while being all but impossible to fire. Promotion based on senority not performance. Salary increases provided uniformally, not based on performance. That is difficult for even honest real progressives to swallow. I consider myself a socially liberal, fisical conservative. I see public unions as a roadblock to federal, state and local fisical stability.
