The tax credits went to E-ON. The
property owner gets money from the
sale* of the energy and the windmill
becomes theirs in thirty years when
it is worth nothing and has to be
torn down.

*the property gets pennies on the
dollar. Most are currently getting
almost nothing.

You bet!.. Ask your neighbors how much they liked the big ole TAX CREDIT they got when they installed their wind turbines.. :-)

I know that every single tax credit - whether personal or business - that presented itself in my lifetime - I hugely enjoyed and appreciated. Now DG, we are talking tax CREDIT here - not deductions. The CREDIT directly, dollar for dollar, reduces the amount of your actual federal income tax. Let's say you have a fed tax bill of $5000 and you get a fed tax credit of $5000... Bottom line is you pay $0 to the IRS for that year.

Gotta love them tax credits!!!
