Ribit - This was probably true back in the early days of wind power, but not anymore. The present breed of turbines are way more efficient and long lived.

...the costs of the sun and the wind isn't what makes em expensive. It's the cost of the windmills and the whatchamacallits that converts sunlight to electricity. The big problem is that they wear out before they pay for themselves.
