...the pope is the head of a religion. Ya can call it a state if you like, but it isn't. As far as the Pope speaking in front of congress I would say that if a coach cannot have prayer with his players before a football game that the pope should not be appearing before congress. Also keeping in line with the separation of church and state I think the supreme court and all other govt entities should be open for business on religious holidays like christmas. (Im being sarcastic here)

...like carson I don't think a muslim should be president, therefore I would not vote for one. On the other hand I wouldn't make it illegal as it would be unconstitutional.

Both Netenyahu and the Pope are the heads of state of their respective countries. Speaking before Congress does not violate the separation of church and state unless of course attendance was mandatory and that all of the members of Congress were required to the visit the Confessional afterwards, although that might not be a bad idea Wink
