...tnoreau had some good ideas, but some of them have huge holes in them. One was that he wanted to be able to follow his conscience instead of obeying the law. Thing wrong with that is that there has to be a general consensus of what acceptable behavior is. If your conscience says it's ok to own slaves or to blow up people ya disagree with then society as a whole cannot tolerate what you find to be rational and just.
...I am still convinced that the greatest threat to civilization is them fricken christmas tree lights that when one bulb goes out the whole string quits working. Oughta be a law!!!
