If you listen to the video you get the impression that profit was the only real motivation for this price change (he even quotes how it costs hundreds of thousands for cancer drugs so why shouldn't people be forced to pay more for this drug, like cancer drugs should set the standard for all drug prices), and even when he talks about special deals to keep the cost low to the patient, as long as he can screw the insurance companies. He also talked like he wants to kill this drug altogether so that he can then develop a replacement that he can then charge even more for.
