That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
THAT which we have SEEN and HEARD
John says that he and the other Apostles that were with Christ during his ministry here on earth, are DECLARING UNTO ALL OF only those things which they both SAW and HEARD with their own ears and eyes. They are EYE witnesses, first hand.
Their testimony of what the witnessed is what they are sharing with us!
As John and the others had and have a close fellowship with God the SON and GOD the FATHER, so they desire that through our faith in Christ we too may enjoy that very same fellowship that they enjoyed!
