Trump Seeks 90% Cut in Property Taxes on His Westchester Golf Club
The presidential candidate doesn't think an earlier tax reduction was enough, according to The Journal News.

Donald Trump, millionaire, celebrity and political candidate, is demanding that the assessment on Trump National Golf Club in Westchester be cut to almost nothing, The Journal News reports.
The club’s property taxes come to $471,000, with the bulk of that going to the Briarcliff Manor school district. Trump wants it cut to $47,000, David McKay Wilson reported.
The property was valued by the Ossining town assessor at $35 million but slashed by the town when Trump’s lawyers asked for tax relief during the great recession. It is now valued for tax purposes at $13.5 million—and
Trump’s lawyers have filed an assessment complaint to have it valued at $1.4 million.
That would bring it close to the average home price in Briarcliff, which is $799,000, according to realtor.com.
“He’s going to pass the tax burden on to everybody else,” Ossining Receiver of Taxes Gloria Fried told Wilson. “And we still won’t get to play on his golf course.”
