And did you hear that Gabby Giffords and her husband were criticized by supporters of the NRA for sending out an email appeal, on the same day that the shootings took place in Virginia of the two TV reporters, asking for support in their effort to get stronger gun control laws passed? They were roundly criticized for not waiting to send out this appeal. Some people went so far as to suggest that it wouldn't look as if people like Giffords and her husband were playing on the sympathies of the American public if they would simply wait for a day where there were NO gun-related deaths to send out their appeals. I wonder how long they would have to wait for something like that to happen...

Truth be known, you have a better chance of being shot in this country than winning the New York Empire State Lottery.

Obviously the facts call for Lottery reform.
