John Boehner Calls Ted Cruz ‘Jackass’ at Republican Fundraiser

According to attendees of a Colorado fundraiser, Speaker of the House John Boehner recently called fellow Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz a “jackass.”
Two separate witnesses tell The Daily Caller’s Alex Pappas that Boehner made the comments during a fundraiser for Republican Congressman Scott Tipton. Boehner joked that he liked that Cruz’s presidential campaign kept “that jackass” out of Washington, and from telling him how to do his job.
“I don’t think it’s terribly Speaker-like, and I think it kind of goes against everything that Reagan ever said about disparaging Republicans,” one witness said.
The other agreed, saying “I about fell on the floor” when he heard the joke.
