hi clo,

your theory might explain bernie sanders and jeremy corbyn, although neither seems extremely left-wing by historical standards.

but i don't think your hypothesis explains trump too well? he doesn't fix the issue of inequality. he is as unequal as anyone can be. he has benefitted enormously since 2008. maybe he just appeals to people who are extremely dumb. what else is there?

his popularity is a surprise. it must mean something but i am not sure what.

"When the real answer is, there is no magic. You just have to work hard for a long time."

That is only possible if we are working on a fair & level playing field.

And I think that is the reason for the deep rooted anger, we are not.

Just look at who was rescued & who was screwed when the bottom fell out...

This atmosphere makes room for dangerous 'leaders'.
Trump would be the closest to a dictator this country has seen.
