Perhaps, but John McCain's service record was not all that great. Being the son and grandson of Admirals he had a reputation as being a bit full of himself. He was known to party pretty hard and he wasn't all that great of a pilot losing more than one aircraft during training but coming from an old Navy family (with a couple of Admirals in the mix) he was given the 'benefit of the doubt' on more than one occasion. Also his character was not all that sterling after how he treated his first wife, who remained true to him while we was a POW but whom he left after he was released, in part because she had been disabled in a car accident while was he was gone and she no longer was seen as the beautiful swimsuit model that he married before he left for combat in Vietnam. By then he had started to date a women from a rich family who better suited his needs as a politician's wife rather than a cripple in a wheelchair.

Good Afternoon Clo!

I hope that the Congress gives Senator McCain the 4th Star as an Admiral, or the 5th Star as a Fleet Admiral.

He has served his country diligently since his graduation from Annapolis.

He is the epitome of an American fighting man.
