Don't get me wrong OCU, I love the Pledge of Allegiance,

I prefer Equal Justice Under Law because the People in their wisdom carved it into the marble of the beautiful little Greek temple that is the Supreme Court building. And as a lawyer I study what they carve into courthouses all the time. In New York our Supreme Court building is, no surprise, another Greek temple. And of course the People in their wisdom carved glorious words into this one too.
The true administration of justice is the firmest pillar of good government.

You have to love the law with all your heart.
You have to have faith in the wisdom of the People.

And of course once in a while you must read the greatest words ever written.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed
