Just heard the SC governor say the confederate flag should come down. Now - get this: The confederate flag, that flies over the state capitol in SC - IS NOT the official SC State flag!! Bet you all didn't know that! I didn't. The official flag has a half moon and a palm tree on it. That is what actually should be flown.

What happened is that in the early 1960s - SC started flying that confederate "battle flag" - sorta to show their opposition to the rising civil rights actions that were popping up over much of the South. So, it is not a "state" flag at all - and also not a flag that has been flown there since the civil war times.

Yeah - time for it to be taken down.
