"spoiled and petulant"

I guess that wouldn't be too surprising for someone as arrogant and totally lacking of humility as he.

But he's "the smartest guy in the room". Guess he ought to change out the room.

i am confused by your post.

he passed obamacare with democratic support. this was a huge progressive triumph.

in hindsight, maybe sebelius wasn't a successful pick, but that doesn't mean howard dean would have been. regardless, obamacare is performing very well after initial hiccups.

obama has been accused of not working with republicans but in this case, his allies are all republican.

so i don't think you can maintain the point you are making. or at least, this isn't the best example of continuity of animosity.

but i think he has taken democratic support for granted and is acting like he is entitled to it in his treatment of these treaties' democratic opponents. he seems spoiled and petulant in this case. previously his problem has seemed to me to be being overly fastidious.

it sounds like democrats think these trade deals are valuable for incumbent merchants and do little for anyone else. that's a reasonable thing to question. obama has given democrats nothing to support.
