...looks more like manslaughter than murder to me. Reprehensible, but I don't see any evidence of forethought. Time will tell. I knew a few cops who woulda been on the inside of a jail somewhere had they not been cops. Knew some great people too. Somehow I remember the good guys and the assholes have faded into no more than an unpleasant memory.

I heard on the drive-time this morning that if officer Slager is eventually convicted of murder, that this would be the FIRST time in the history of the United States that a white police officer will have been successfully prosecuted for the murder of an unarmed black 'suspect'. Note that I've not attempted to verify this (yet), but when it was mentioned on the program that I was listening to, no one called in to disputed what was said.
