Proverbs 4: 23
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Jesus said in John 14: 1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
The HEART is what GOD is interested in. HE wants and desires to have OUR DEVOTION, our LOVE for HIM.
Indeed the ISSUES of LIFE itself are found within our hearts.
Romans 10: 9 says
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Verse 10 follows
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
With your heart, have you believed in JESUS and given your whole self to HIM, trusting only in HIM for your SALVATION, your righteousness, your only way to enter into HIS Presence in HEAVEN????
WITHIN the heart is where ALL the issues of LIFE, eternal life as well as life in this world as shining lights for Christ to a world of darkness, originate from and determine where we will spend eternity when the DEATH ANGEL comes for us at our appointed time.
We all have an appointed time with death, the only exception being is if the Trumpet of GOD sounds and the LORD JESUS comes to snatch us up and take us to our home in heaven. This is known as the rapture of the church which we will discuss later in Revelation and also in 2 Thessalonians.
