is there a superstar striker available to complete arsenal's frontline next season?
i don't see one who is both available and can raise the level. the known ones are all embedded with top teams already and would probably cost too much anyway.
maybe walcott is ready for that role.
a front three of alexis, walcott and oxlade-chamberlain, supplied by two of ozil, cazorla, wilshire, rosicky and ramsey would scare any back line.
i also like giroud but these days you need unpredictable structures so that the other manager cannot assume the team and style of play he is facing.
you could actually rotate a front five with little change in quality. welbeck, giroud and gnabry supported by another two of the five attacking midfielders (ramsey and wilshire, say) would be another formidable and speedy attacking formation. gnabry looks an extremely good player to me and now he is fit again is going to put pressure on the right wing position in the first team.
a right hand side of the ox and bellerin would be insanely speedy. a left hand side of sanchez and gibbs would also be very quick.
that leaves the central defensive triangle of coquelin, koscielny and (next season) gabriel. two of those three are also very swift.
surely sanchez, walcott, ox, ozil, cazorla, coquelin, bellerin, kos, gabriel and gibbs is comfortably the fastest outfield in world football. only two are anything less than speed merchants (cazorla and coq). four of that team are exceptionally skillful (sanchez, ox, ozil, cazorla).
lacks the height of giroud and mertesacker and the hold-up skillset of giroud, though.
