He thinks someone struck the train. He wasn't going that fast for long, he accelerated. The FBI is looking into this, according to another engineer, this does occur occasionally.
...the engineer on the amtrack train that wrecked was going 106 mph in a 50 zone. They say that the train accelerated briefly just before it jumped the track. The engineer says he don't remember anything. Im starting to wonder if maybe he wasn't trying to committ suicide and take a bunch with him same as that airplane pilot who did the same.
