Hillary Clinton Willing to Testify on Benghazi Later This Month

Hillary Clinton is perfectly willing to testify on Benghazi again, her lawyer said today, and she would answer their questions as soon as this month.
There’s one little catch, though.
Clinton lawyer David Kendall told the Republican-led House Benghazi Committee that Clinton will only testify once, as opposed to the two times they requested. Chairman Trey Gowdy had said back in March that he wanted Clinton to testify twice––once on Benghazi, and once on her use of a private email server.
Kendall writes, “There is no basis, logic, or precedent for such an unusual request. The Secretary is fully prepared to stay for the duration of the Committee’s questions on the day she appears.”
He dismisses their concerns about Clinton’s emails and even gets in a bit of snark about their priorities:
“[Clinton] believes that the Members of the Committee are able to decide how much they will focus on the tragic deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, including what can be done to keep those who serve our country safe––and how much they will focus on how much she e-mailed.”
