Man Going 107 MPH On I-684 Charged With DWI, Drug Possession, Police Say

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- A 21-year-old Brewster man state police say was driving 107 miles per hour on I-684 in Bedford is also facing DWI and drug possession charges, according to police.

Besim Ukaj of Brewster was stopped for speeding in the 65 mile-per-hour zone, police said.

Further investigation revealed that Besim Ukaj was intoxicated and in possession of LSD, cocaine and marijuana, police said.

He has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth and seventh degrees, criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, DWI and speeding.

He was arraigned at the Town of Bedford Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
