Roberts IS a political hack who got the chief justices job when it came open under the second Bush administration after he had been nominated for an associate justices position.
The entire conservative section of the court are all ideological hacks beholding only to the very rich and powerful which they serve. The decision in Citizens United proves that beyond any shadow of a doubt. The decision to eviscerate the Voting Rights Act also shows that they take their orders from those who want to narrow the scope of our democracy and return it to its roots among wealthy land owners back at the dawn of this nation when neither women nor blacks or anyone without land could vote.
The Supreme Court needs to be abolished.
