Many of the buildings which were damaged and/or destroyed in 1968 during the riots after Martin Luther King Jr was shot have still NOT been rebuilt or replaced, so it would seem that that's a pretty lame comment to make… As one resident stated, the state and city seemed to have no problem finding the money to build new football and baseball stadiums but they never found any to fix neighborhoods that were burned-out 47 years ago.
