Proverbs 13:25 (KJV)
The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
This is not talking about FOOD. It is speaking of the Spiritual nourishment, the WORD of GOD, which in scriptures has been described sweet as an honeycomb. It is satisfying and fills our souls to being overflowing, FULL and satisfying. The believer yearns to know more about GOD and The SON and we find BOTH in the Scriptures, and the WORDS are like spiritual food, sustaining us throughout every day.
The Holy Spirit of GOD has enlightened our understanding so that we may understand what we are reading and gives us understanding because HE dwells within us.
The wicked, or unbeliever, does not have the ability to comprehend or understand spiritually. GOD does not reside inside HIM/HER and her Spiritual side can never be filled with the nourishment of the Word of God.
