16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith , Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say , Have they not heard ? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
BUT they have not all obeyed the message of the GOSPEL of Christ, even though it was shared with them.......
FAITH in Christ comes by HEARING it, which the proclaimers of God's Word have and continue to proclaim via pastors, evangelists, missionaries....
BUT NOT ALL who HEAR with their ears will ACCEPT by faith the Gospel message of JESUS and receive HIM as Lord and Savior. It is the HEART which must believe and receive the salvation and mercy of the LORD.
There are MANY who reject the free gift of eternal life after hearing that Jesus loves them and gave HIMSELF for them. It is a sad day when anyone rejects the offer and gift of GOD for their Soul's eternal destination.
God commands us to go into ALL the WORLD and PROCLAIM the MESSAGE of Salvation by grace through faith in JESUS alone.
It is up to the HOLY GHOST to CONVICT the HEARER of the WORD proclaimed and for the person to want to come to JESUS and be saved.
We are told in 2 Peter 3: 9 that "God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL would come to repentance"..
It is our responsibility to share this blessed GOSPEL of HOPE and SALVATION to all we can. It is the Holy Spirit's job to bring them to repentance.
Many are called or spoken to. Few actually choose to receive Christ.
And GOD will NOT FORCE ANYONE to trust only in Jesus.
He desires that they would. He does not FORCE mankind against their will.
This is what is knwn as the free will of man.
GOD allows us to choose for ourselves. He provides all the necessary tools to make the right decision, but leaves the decision up to each individual.
There is not one person who will stand before GOD and be condemned to the Lake of Fire who can ever say that they never had a choice.
They rejected and refused CHRIST when they heard the WORD. They continued to reject HIM all the way up to the day they died. Then it is too late....
You only have one chance, one opportunity to be saved.
Don;t put it off. Trust Jesus as Savior now before you never have another opportunity. Once you die, it is too late. Eternity is a long time to be in eternal torment and torture and without GOD.
God loves you and wants you to be saved. Come to HIM this day before it is too late.
