7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them * by whom it is dressed , receiveth blessing from God:
8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.
continuing on from what was stated earlier in this chapter, Paul now draws a picture of what he just stated in the previous four verses.
RAIN WATER is depicted here as LIFE eternal, and when it is received upon fertile and good ground, and soaked into it, it brings forth BOUNTY that reflects what it has received and gives testimony to that! Every child of GOD has a testimony of the eternal GOD and what HE has done for them! They will also bring forth WORKS that are outwardly visible and seen which do show the INNER TRANSFORMATION of them, being born again of incorruptible seed, that which is eternal given them from the goodness and grace of GOD.
Those who have fallen away, or rejected the GOOD WORD bring forth briars and thorns and works contrary to everything good about GOD and their end? It is eternal burning in the flames of hell and then the Lake of Fire..
I plead with you today, do not reject the creator of the universe and all that is therein, or HIS SON JESUS who went to a Roman CROSS willingly for only one purpose, to shed HIS DIVINE BLOOD as a sacrificial payment to GOD for YOUR SINS that GOD ACCEPTED in FULL. HE was the only acceptable sacrifice that would satisfy the JUSTICE of GOD and HE stands with HIS arms open, waiting for you to come to HIM and ask HIM to SAVE YOU and forgive you this very minute. THAT is why JESUS went to the cross.
He did not have to go. He could have SPOKEN and immediately the nails would have been removed, all the soldiers killed, and HE could have gone back to HIS THRONE in heaven. But HE didn't. He stayed. He held the nails in HIS hands and HE finished the WORK of SALVATION for ALL who would come to HIM because HE LOVES YOU so very much.
NOBODY needs to die and go to hell. ALL they need do is turn to Jesus and ask forgiveness....
Repent and be saved today....
