4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened , and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come ,
6 If they shall fall away , to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh , and put him to an open shame .
THIS is a MOUTHFUL of RED MEAT, not for those who are unlearned in doctrine...
WHAT the APOSTLE PAUL is stating here is exactly what HE wrote in verse 4 and 5.
IT"S IMPOSSIBLE for ANYONE, who was TOLD and explained the GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL, and having UNDERSTOOD IT, grasped it, tasted it, BUT NEVER FULLY DIGESTED OR SWALLOWED IT, if they grow cold and walk away from this CONVICTION by the HOLY SPIRIT, it is impossible to renew them again to a place of repentence....
This is a difficult passage of scripture, but the keys rest in the words TASTED, instead of BELIEVED, they were made aware (enlightened), yet they never really repented and became a child of the King.....
SO close, yet so far.
MANY people are about 12 inches away from Heaven and will die and go to a place of eternal separation from GOD called Hell.
How so micro?
Because they have HEARD and TASTED of the Heavenly Gift (Jesus), they have a HEAD KNOWLEDGE, they are INFORMED, but they STOPPED SHORT of BELIEVING IN THEIR HEART and repenting of their sin and trusting in HIM alone.
Your head is about 12 inches from your heart.
The BIBLE says that with the HEART man believes unto salvation. NO ONE ever was saved by a head knowledge of knowing who Christ was and is. They must come to a place of repentence, submission, agreeing with GOD about YOUR condition and how HE sees you, and asking Jesus to become your savior, trusting HIM and claiming HIM alone.
Jesus said "I AM THE Way, the truth< the life. no one comes TO the father (HEAVEN) but by me".
HE IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN FRIENDS. SIMPLY HAVING A HEAD KNOWLEDGE WILL NOT SAVE YOU and have your name written down in the LAMB'S Book of Life.
