2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3 And this will we do , if God permit .
This is a continuation of chapter five in which Paul was led to take the Gospel to the HEBREWS (Israelites, JEWS)and to teach these converted Jews the principles and foundational basics of the FAITH.
ALL of this of course was totally dependent upon 'IF GOD PERMIT". If God is not directing our actions or leading us in something, success is not going to be achieved, and neither is peace and happiness either.
Those occur when we are obedient to doing what HE directs us to do and we faithfully perform the DOING OF IT and may take satisfaction in that we obeyed the will GOD.
Like going out on visitation and telling others about Jesus and salvation through HIM and HIM alone.
We are commanded to take the GOSPEL into every COMMUNITY, every city, every street, every home, every apartment, hut or where people live.
"Go ye therefore into ALL THE WORLD and PREACH THE GOSPEL to EVERY CREATURE".....
We are to obey to go and do that. BE HAPPY. It is GOD who will cause that person to respond to the message. We are only the messenger and we are to be obedient in being the messenger, the HOLY SPIRIT does the WORK of CONVINCING that person of their need for CHRIST!
IF GOD PERMITS, if HE wills, THEN we will go and do such and such.... This is the pattern......
