Hebrews 4:9-12 (KJV)
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
ONE DAY, all those who have believed in Christ, accepted HIM as Lord, Savior, Ruler of their life, will have our very SPIRITS and souls take flight and leave this mortal body and enter into the realm of ETERNAL BLISS, HEAVEN, where JESUS IS, and we will forever be with HIM!! The one who LOVED us so much he left HIS HEAVENLY THRONE and came to earth, and became a man, born as a man into this world to be like us, experience our pains, our sickness, our sorrows and aches, and yet, to live a sinless life so that HE ALONE could offer HIMSELF UP to GOD the FATHER as a PERFECT SACRIFICE, unblemished and without spot, to redeem us , with all our blemishes and spots and sins, to GOD and clothe US in HIS OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS so we may enter into the JOY of the LORD and be with HIM forever!
THIS IS THAT REST spoken of here...... An eternal rest. A rest that lasts an eternity. A rest that is beyond comprehension and made perfect by the PRESENCE of JESUS CHRIST there with us, in ALL HIS GLORY and BEAUTY.
ONLY those who have placed their faith in HIM will enter into that rest.
If you have not placed your eternal soul into the hands of the only ONE who can save you and bring you into HIS REST for eternity, I implore you to trust JESUS as your only hope, your Savior, this very day.
You do not know what a day may bring. You could be killed in an instant in an accident on the road or have a sudden heart attack. We do not know and more, we should not take that chance.
Turn to Christ. He came to seek and to SAVE those who are LOST without HIM. He died for YOU. He stands at the Heart's DOOR and KNOCKS, asking YOU to let HIM come in and change your life forever.
Come to Christ and HE will not turn you away.
I know. I came to him years ago and have never been the same since........
