I John 2: 8

8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you:

because the darkness is past , and the true light now shineth . 

This is a direct reference to John's gospel where he declared that LIGHT had come into the world (JESUS.

JESUS IS the LIGHT of the WORLD. IN HIM is all HOPE, LOVE, JOY, and the Peace that Passes ALL UNDERSTANDING that only a believer may enjoy from the Holy Spirit of God.

Jesus is indeed that LIGHT John is speaking of.....
