Arsenal are now playing like I thought they would at the beginning of the season. Skillful and fast enough to win any match. Faster, more aggressive options in defence. Players who can transform defence into attack in the form of Cazorla and Ozil. Attackers that protect the defence when they don't have the ball. And they can now defend against quick counter-attacking teams because they have Coquelin, Koscielny and Paulista.
Old man Wenger has done it again. Produced a team that can win the league. Maybe not this season. But soon.
And a new stadium which can support the team's income statement. I suspect Wenger will buy a new star again this summer. This time, a striker. Bale would be fun. As close to Thierry Henry as you can find and utterly wasted where he is. As well as another holding midfielder option. Hopefully one with a long distance shot in him as that capability is missing currently. And then he'll be done with rebuilding the team.
I think Arsenal is about to have its strongest ever period as one of Europe's very best teams. The manager knows what he is doing. The club can afford its players. The players play for one another. There are no big egos to ruin the culture of the club. Excellent young players coming through such as Bellerin, Bielik, Gnabry, Akpom, Chambers, Crowley and Zelalem. They have several game plans and different personnel options in attack and defence, which makes it harder for other teams to define their own strategy.
I think it's Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea until the two Manchester teams are rebuilt. But Liverpool's squad is too small to do Europe as well.
